Artist Bio
I am a registered architect. In my spare time Iām an avid gardener and enjoy painting (oils and watercolor) and creating anything I can with a glue gun. Iām also restoring a 1951 Fenwick Williams wooden catboat named Sparkle. Which also makes me an expert in sanding and varnish!ā
Main Subject
Seascapes, abstracts, wood blocks
Materials and Techniques
I make collages using my own watercolor paintings that I am unhappy with…. š
I also have a series of paintings on repurposed weathered cedar house shingles. I use the grain direction and weathering to inform the image.
My wood block sets are solid wood blocks, made from wooden boat keels, painted and sealed for outdoor use. I am lucky enough to have made two sets that will be a permanent part of two arboretums on the east coast, one of which is Heritage Gardens on the Cape.
I also work with traditional watercolors and oils on panel.
