Artist Bio
Holly Wach is a fine artist working and living in Rhode Island. She thinks that nature provides us with a constant reminder to slow down in a modern world teeming with distractions. Luckily her imagination always looked outside for inspiration. Birds have become her most recent muse. She looks forward to being part of such a critically acclaimed show dedicated to handmade.

Watercolor starts with a wet-on-wet process built up in careful layers until the bird’s personality emerges. Inspired by Japanese brushwork of Sumi-e ink paintings used “not simply to reproduce the appearance of the subject, but to capture its spirit.”
