Artist Bio
This award-winning artist presented her art to the public in 2011 and was encouraged by the reception to make the leap to full-time work as an artist. Enjoying the challenge and immediacy of working en plein air, the artist creates many paintings on site. Painting on copper, aluminum, canvas, and linen, she’s earned a reputation for using lush greens and vibrant blues.
Ms. Hanna spends substantial time during the summers providing en plein air painting demonstrations throughout New England. She has demonstrated her technique for various art associations throughout New Hampshire and earned numerous awards in both juried and non-juried fine art competitions.
When she isn’t exhibiting at art fairs or painting on site, Ms. Hanna provides private lessons in her first floor Washington Street Mill studio to students of all ages.
Affiliations include juried membership in the Hollis Arts Society and the Art Guild of the Kennebunks, as well as membership with the New Hampshire Plein Air Artists, and the Saco Bay Artists
She is currently represented by Beth Ellis Cove Gallery, Ogunquit, Maine; Ingram Fine Art, Wiscasset, Maine; Small Wonder Gallery, Camden, Maine; and The Kalled Gallery, Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.

Materials and Techniques
I create my paintings using professional grade oils on copper, aluminum, linen, or canvas. Every effort is made to source my materials in the USA. A hardwood frame is made specifically for each painting since I value the finished product more than a matching display.
