Artist Bio

Barbara is a professional New England artist who grew up in Massachusetts and now resides in New Hampshire. She enjoys the outdoors and spends much of her time painting a variety of subjects in Maine and other coastal areas.

She studied at Montserrat College of Art and the Manchester Institute of Art – also studying and painting with well-known artist such as R.S. Jackson, V. Stacey, Cory Staid, Carlton Plummer, Jan Kilburn, L. Stover, Judy Wagner, Stan Moeller, Stan Sperlak, Hajop Kelegian of Putney, VT, and Ed Chesnovitch of Cape Cod. These experiences have enabled Barbara to better express herself creatively in the medias that she has come to enjoy working in: Pastels, Oil, and Watercolors.

Recognition:
The quality of Barbara’s paintings has not gone unnoticed, receiving numerous first place and best in show awards, including the Hunkins Award from the Haverhill Art Association. Her work has also been recognized by the New England Watercolor Society. Barbara’s paintings can be seen in several galleries and at art festivals.
