Materials and Techniques
The materials use to create my works consist mainly of repurposed Ugandan tablemats.
The tablemats are made using raffia and thread, dyed using organic dyes from Kenya.
I buy the mats in an array of different colors to play around with tonal schemes and then cut and reconstruct these materials to create patterns and collage one-of-a-kind objects of beauty.
