Artist Bio

Self-taught, Watertown based visual artist.
Started this self-operated business 5 years ago selling smaller works, mostly jewelry.
Since then, have gravitated towards creating larger scale art works which allow me to play around with color more.
Enjoying the progress in the process.

Materials and Techniques

The materials use to create my works consist mainly of repurposed Ugandan tablemats.
The tablemats are made using raffia and thread, dyed using organic dyes from Kenya.
I buy the mats in an array of different colors to play around with tonal schemes and then cut and reconstruct these materials to create patterns and collage one-of-a-kind objects of beauty.
