Materials and Techniques

The majority of my work is wheel thrown on mid-fire clay (cone 5-6). Generally my glaze technique consists of two categories: mid-fire functional wares with food safe flux glaze or rice paper underglaze design transfers that are covered with a food safe clear glaze. When Underglaze images are used they are transferred to leather hard clay, bisque fired, glazed, and then fired again to approximately 2100 degrees Fahrenheit.
