Artist Bio
Melissa is an accomplished Abstract Intuitive Artist living in Newburyport, MA, and works at her Studio at the Artists’ Muse, 9 Water Street, 2nd Floor in Amesbury, MA. She is inspired by her love of Color, Texture & Travel.
Melissa earned a B.S. degree at the University of Rhode Island in Marketing, Merchandising and Design and following her education she worked in Corporate America. She worked in New York City for fashion brands Levi Strauss & Co., Coach Inc., Capelli New York and in Boston, MA at Victorinox Swiss Army. After her Father’s death in 2013 she started painting and art journaling as a way of healing. Melissa’s work has been featured at Newburyport Art Association, Chelmsford Art Association, Sowa Open Art Market in Boston, MA, Greenway Open Market in Boston, MA, Boston Arts Festival, Squam Art Fair in Holderness, NH, Exeter, NH Music & Art Festival, York, Maine Art in the Park.
When Melissa is not creating her Colorful Expressive Intuitive Art, you can find her enjoying New England Art Museums, Walking New England beaches, doing Yoga, walking her rescued Pointer/Hound Samson in Newburyport, MA, or spending time with friends and family.
