Artist Bio

Niko Prints Home is a woman-owned, mom-owned printmaking studio. I live in the Boston area with my husband and two young kids, who are the inspiration for many of my designs. I love printmaking, and I especially love creating prints for kids’ rooms and playspaces to bring some extra joy. I started printmaking about seven years ago, shortly after my son was born. Since then it’s taken up more and more space in my heart and in my life, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my work with others.

Materials and Techniques

I draw my designs using graphite pencil, transfer those images to either linoleum blocks or rubber blocks. I handcarve the blocks and then use water-based or oil-based ink to handroll and handprint each stamp. Many of prints are made from using multiple blocks to create joyful color combinations. Because each piece is handprinted, each one will have some variations and will be unique…that’s part of what makes each one so special!
